Q: How is The Moss Project, LLC affiliated with Bruce Moss?

A: The Moss Project, LLC is not directly affiliated with Bruce Moss. Dr. Moss makes no decisions, does not participate in voting, is not/never has been party to planning or operations. While we have obviously utilized the image(s) and likeness of Dr. Moss—entirely without his consent—Moss himself learned about The Moss Project, LLC only recently.

Q: Who are the members of The Moss Project, LLC?

A: You can find us. But it won't be easy.

Q: How can I become a member of The Moss Project, LLC?

A: The best way is to find a current member and have them recommend you for membership. Aside from that, if The Moss Project seeks to add additional members, we'll find you. In the meantime, consider being a contributor.

Q: Who are the contributors to The Moss Project, LLC?

A: The articles and the text content have been authored by 4 principal contributors (not including several proofreaders).

As for the non-written contributions, the page isn't long enough to list them all. Twelve (12) consultants have been a part of the project with their eyes on legal, technical, musical, and stylistic (design) aspects. Many more people have contributed records, photos, programs, videos, audio recordings, along with stories and recollections of their musical experiences with Dr. Moss over his nearly 50 years as a conductor and music educator. These materials are still being reviewed and more materials are coming in currently.

Q: How long will The Moss Project, LLC website(s) and related digital content be posted on the internet?

A: All good things must come to an end. Enjoy the project while you can.

Q: Do I lose ownership of materials that I contribute?

A: There is no scheme, or cleverly hidden aspect, associated with submissions to The Moss Project.

You may have something valuable (i.e., a record, document, concert program, video, audio recording, or your own story from your experience with Dr. Moss) that you'd like to contribute to The Moss Project. We encourage additional submissions by using our contact email (admin@mossproject.org). Items you submit to The Moss Project remain your property unless you express written intent to gift them to The Moss Project. Otherwise, your items are on loan to The Moss Project. If used, they will be displayed as you request, and will be credited appropriately, if you wish.

(Note: Video contributions will be reviewed, but may not be posted for quite some time if selected.)

Q: What happens to my contributed items if they are not displayed on The Moss Project website or related sites?

A: If this is a situation where you have arranged to contribute a hard copy item, we will review the material, make a decision as to whether or not it should be digitized for upload, and then either return it or, if the contributor has gifted the item to us, retain or dispose of it as we see fit.

If the item is already in digital format, we'll assess its usability for display. If the item is not displayed, we'll determine whether or not it should eventually be passed on to Dr. Moss. Many of the items already collected are not usable because of their condition or the type of item does not have a place on the website.
